Which web hosting package for portfolio and blog?

Can anyone direct me to which web hosting company would be good for to use for my portfolio and personal word press blog?
Any one have any good / horror stories? Thank you for your advice and comments.
If web hosting packages suck, what should I do, any positive advice?
i will be doing the design myself, I just need to know from tech , which web hosting company is good, ie 123-reg, easy space. etc. Thanks

    dude, ALL web hosting sites SUCK! they dont give you enough space,
    they dont give you a proper domain,
    they DO give you LAME formatting desgins
    they DO take all your personal infomation in exchange for a so called "blog".

    no web hosting site is good.

    Its a fact.

    first you buy a personal word press blog from a web designer company and then buy some web space from a hosting company where you host your blog or portfolio.

    If you have your own web site then the cheapest hosting that I have found is for as low as 1 dollar a month. But the 3 dollar package gives you the online web builder.

    I say this because of the freebies that they offer.
    Message boards, Blogs, Private pages and you do not have to know how to program.

    I am using web hosting from http://aplis.net/ you can also give them a try.
    If web hosting sucks, you have to change web host, and you loose the money.
